Jay McClure is the Associate Artistic Director and Casting Director for the American Shakespeare Center. Jay joined the ASC in 1999, after working for nine years as a project leader for Corning Incorporated. For ASC, he was instrumental in the opening of the Blackfriars Playhouse and conceived and developed the Actors’ Renaissance Season.

His ASC credits include The Knight of the Burning Pestle, King Lear, Much Ado about Nothing, Tartuffe, Hamlet, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Falstaff, The Taming of the Shrew, A King and No King, The Merchant of Venice, The Three Musketeers, The Comedy of Errors, and All’s Well That Ends Well.

He has worked for theatres and arts organizations across the country and has been a member of Actors’ Equity
Association and Screen Actors Guild for more than twenty years.
