The American Shakespeare Center deeply regrets that, owing to the pressing needs of his family in Florida, David Dreyfoos, our extraordinary Managing Director, will be leaving the company at the end of the year. 

For two years, David's talents and generosity of spirit made co-founders Ralph Cohen and Jim Warren feel that in him they had virtually a third co-founder and partner. 

Through his skill and determination, the company was able to survive the economic downturn and even to build a more secure base for the future. David will remain a part of that future in the capacity of a valued advisor to and friend of the company. Thanks to the sound business practices David established and the talented staff he has put in place, the company is operating smoothly and has the time to search for his successor with care and deliberation. 

With every bit of the fervor of our regret at his departure, we wish David and his family all the best, and we celebrate the ways in which the American Shakespeare Center will always be David's home.
