Special Matinees

The ASC has designed special performance times for middle, junior high, and high school teachers and their students on Thursdays throughout the school year. The ASC uses Shakespeare's original staging conditions to show that Shakespeare's plays were the MTV of his day. These Student Matinees are designed with you in mind: they fit within the school day and offer your students an accessible, educational, and fun experience. All Student Matinees include a free Talk Back: a face-to-face post show discussion with actors from the show's cast.

Student Matinee Rates

Through the NEA's Shakespeare in American Communities program, the American Shakespeare Center will offer eligible schools discounted tickets for school matinees during the 2012-2013 school year.  Apply for funding today. 

Group Discounts for Regular Performances

Looking to bring your student group to one of our regular performances? The ASC offers discounted student rates to all of our performances, but a group of 15 or more qualify for our even better Group Discount.
