Bring 'Em Back Alive (Staged Reading Series)

The Bring 'Em Back Alive reading series draws regional actors together, scripts in hand, to perform a lively interpretation of lesser known works from the Renaissance. In the laboratory that is our Blackfriars Playhouse, come help us to discover the joy of these treasures that thrilled Shakespeare's London. At the interval, enjoy coffee and light refreshment with the actors. Donations are accepted at the door. All readings start at 7:30 p.m. in the Blackfriars Playhouse, and are open to the public, pay what you will (suggested donation:$5).

• March 14, 2009  A New Way to Pay Old Debts by Philip Massinger

Also, join us in celebrating the 400th anniversary of the publishing of the sonnets with seven short plays inspired by seven sonnets. Love's Fire will take place on April 18, 2010 with plays by Eric Bogosian, William Finn, John Guare, Tony Kushner, Marsha Norman, Ntozake Shange, and Wendy Wasserstein.
