This month, give yourself a well deserved break from holiday hustle and bustle and come to the Blackfriars to see three special previews of our Spring Season productions. The ASC on Tour has been bringing the productions of the 2008/2009 Stark Raving Sane Tour to audiences around the United States for the last few months, and they'll come back to Staunton in April to open the Spring Season at the Blackfriars.

But you don't have to wait until then to get a peek at these three new shows. During the last weekend of December the traveling troupe will offer one performance each of their three productions at the Blackfriars in Staunton:

Friday, Dec. 26 at 7:30 p.m. -- Hamlet

Saturday, Dec. 27 at 7:30 p.m. -- Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead

Sunday, Dec. 28 at 7:30 p.m. -- The Comedy of Errors

These previews are an annual tradition at the Blackfriars to which many of our patrons look forward all year. As Washington Post reader Marla Minnicino of Leesburg said about last year's preview weekend, "Sure, there's plenty of Shakespeare in Washington, but instead we'll be heading to the Shenandoah Valley...for the midwinter sneak preview weekend at the Blackfriars Playhouse in Staunton."
