Kathleen Conery

Kathleen is the Costumer/Shop Manager at James Madison University, where she has been designing and teaching for over 12 years.  Her work can be seen during the school-year season, in both theatre and dance productions, and in the summer for the JMU Children's Playshop.  Prior to coming to JMU she designed at Cornell University, the Hanger Theatre in Ithaca, Nebraska Repertory Theatre, Cleveland Ensemble Theatre, and Creighton University.  She has worked construction and management in regional costume shops from Wisconsin to Texas, Nebraska to New York.  Her designs for the Shenandoah Shakespeare Express include Macbeth, The Taming of the Shrew, and Romeo and Juliet.  She is delighted to be back!
