The American Shakespeare Center is casting:

2008-09 American Shakespeare Center on Tour (Stark Raving Sane Tour)

  • Hamlet - Director, Jim Warren, ASC Artistic Director
  • Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead - Director, Jim Warren, ASC Artistic Director
  • The Comedy of Errors - Director Giles Block, Shakespeare's Globe, London
  • A Christmas Carol - Director TBA

12-month contract: June 18, 2008-June 14, 2009 - tours the U.S. for five months and runs in residence at the Blackfriars Playhouse for 3.5 months.

Troupe members receive $1,500 per month salary, health insurance, and housing.  Also casting two acting apprentices ($800 stipend per month).

*Actors invited to audition for the ASC in Staunton, VA can request complimentary tickets for shows at the Blackfriars Playhouse and may observe rehearsals.  Check this site for performance schedule.
