Patrick Earl

FIGHT DIRECTOR

Originally from Grand Rapids, MI, Patrick earned a BS in Theatre and Biology from Aquinas College.  He also attended the University of Houston Professional Actor Training Program where he earned his MFA.  At UH Patrick had the privilege to apprentice under Fight Master Brian Byrnes of the Society of American Fight Directors.  Patrick has been recommended by the SAFD in unarmed, single sword, rapier/dagger, quarterstaff, and broadsword.  He is currently an adjunct professor at Randolph College.  He has also directed stage combat and taught classes for various Houston area schools, University of Houston, Palo Duro Shakespeare Festival, Main Street Theater (Houston), I’m Ready Productions, and Ric Ornel Productions.

For the ASC, he was the Fight Captain for the 2011/12 Almost Blasphemy Tour, 2012/13 Tempt Me Further Tour, 2013/14 25th Anniversary World’s Mine Oyster Tour, and the 2014/15 Method in Madness Tour, as well as the Fight Director for the 2012/13 Tempt Me Further Tour’s Twelfth Night, 2015 Summer/Fall Season’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Shakespeare’s Joan of Arc (Henry VI, Part 1), 2015/16 Dangerous Dream Tour’s Henry V, and 2016 Summer/Fall Season’s Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, Twelfth Night, and The Rise of Queen Margaret (Henry VI, Part 2).
